Senior SQL Server & BI Developer · AI Operator

Reporting executives can trust, delivered in hours instead of days.

For 15+ years I've built the reports and data that finance, operations and leadership run on. Today I direct a governed team of AI agents to do that work faster, and I check every number before it ships.

Selected results

Measured outcomes from real reporting work.

8 hours → 12 seconds

A city finance report used in leadership meetings, rebuilt from Crystal Reports in SSRS with re-engineered SQL. Same numbers, same familiar layout.

12 hours → 2 to 4

Eight report conversions and fixes, each quoted at 12 hours, delivered production-ready in 2 to 4 hours each, benchmarked and reconciled to source.

10 hours a week → 0

At Capital Group, replaced a daily manual review of a printed report with an exception report built on the user's business rules. It also caught exceptions the manual review had missed.

Case study: Tableau to Power BI migration

A sales dashboard built in Tableau against a SQL Server database, then migrated to Power BI on a governed data model, with every headline number checked for parity between the two.

How I work

AI agents are fast and fluent, and sometimes confidently wrong. That's the same problem BI has always had: a number that looks right isn't the same as a number someone verified. So I run the agents the way I run reporting.

1

Find the real question

I start with what the business is trying to decide, then define every measure in plain English before anything gets built.

2

Direct the build

One agent plans and delegates. Others write the SQL, models and reports to my definitions and tuning standards.

3

Verify everything

Results are reconciled to the source. An independent agent reviews the work, and I review it last.

4

Explain the numbers

Every figure has a documented source and meaning, so stakeholders know where it comes from and can trust it.

The details, including review gates, safety guardrails and the shared knowledge base my agents use, are in How I work with AI agents.
